Liberty Senior Living Celebrates Haley Kinne Norris's Induction into UNCW Hall of Fame

Wilmington, NC — Liberty Senior Living in Wilmington, NC is proud to announce that Haley Kinne- Norris, Home Office Director of Life Enrichment and Wellness, has been named one of five alumni inducted into the College of Health and Human Services Hall of Fame at University of North Carolina Wilmington.

This inaugural honor recognizes and celebrates the achievements, leadership, and service of distinguished alumni while highlighting the meaningful impact they have on their communities, professions, and on current and future students.

Haley earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from UNCW in 2018, followed by a Master of Science in Applied Gerontology in 2021. Their connection to Liberty Senior Living began early, as part of the first cohort of UNCW interns at Carolina Bay at Autumn Hall, a community owned and operated by Liberty Senior Living.

After joining the organization as Wellness Director in 2018, Haley quickly advanced, taking on leadership responsibilities that now include overseeing wellness and life enrichment leaders across Liberty communities and supporting programming at every level of care.

Throughout their career, Haley has mentored more than 25 UNCW interns, several of whom have gone on to build careers within Liberty Senior Living. Their dedication to developing future leaders reflects a deep commitment not only to residents, but to the profession as a whole.

In their current role, Haley created INSPIRE, Liberty’s holistic wellness initiative, designed to elevate the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all residents. They have also secured Liberty’s membership with the International Council on Active Aging and have presented at industry conferences, helping position Liberty as a leader in innovative wellness programming. Under their guidance, multiple Liberty Senior Living communities have earned the ICAA Beacon Wellness Award.

Haley’s creativity and passion are evident in signature programs Liberty has they have introduced across their communities, including the Annual Liberty Games, ALympics competitions for assisted living residents, Senior Beach Day, and a meaningful World War II veterans luncheon.

Haley’s induction into the UNCW Hall of Fame reflects not only their professional accomplishments, but also their role as a mentor and inspiration. Their work continues to elevate the senior living experience while setting a powerful example for the next generation of leaders in aging services.
