Will Purvis

President and CEO

Will Purvis is President of Liberty Senior Living, a developer and operator of assisted living, independent living, active adult, as well as rental continuing care retirement communities. Since joining Liberty in 2010, the company has grown from two senior living communities to twelve with several more currently under construction. Liberty’s goal is to deliver the best product and operations in the markets served. Liberty has won national awards for continuing care retirement community design as well has fitness and wellness operations. In addition, Mr. Purvis is Chief Development Officer for Liberty Healthcare Management which has a portfolio of thirty skilled nursing facilities and twenty-six homecare and hospice offices. Liberty is a family owned and operated group of companies founded in 1875.

Prior to Liberty, Mr. Purvis worked with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, a subsidiary of BB&T. Mr. Purvis received a B.S. in Business Management from North Carolina State University and a MBA from Wake Forest University. Mr. Purvis serves on the Boards of the American Senior Housing Association and New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation. Mr. Purvis serves on the Senior Housing Product Council of Urban Land Institute and the Finance Committee of the Coastal Land Trust. Mr. Purvis lives in Wilmington, North Carolina with his wife Jenny, and three children.

Matt Bork

Vice President of Finance

Matt Bork is a Certified Public Accountant leading the financial operations of Liberty Senior Living as the Vice President of Finance. Matt has been with Liberty for over thirteen years where he is involved with raising debt and equity, financial forecasting, capital allocation, asset management, acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and new business development. He joined Liberty in 2007 after graduating from UNC-Wilmington with a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Accounting as well as a Masters of Business Administration. He currently serves on the Payment for Services Committee for the North Carolina Healthcare Facilities Association as well as the Finance Committee for the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. Matt lives in Wilmington with his wife Katie and five daughters.

Cindy Stancil

Cindy Stancil

Vice President of Operations

Cindy Stancil is the President of Senior Living Operations and joined the company in 1989. Cindy Stancil started her career as the Administrator of an Assisted Living in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1985. Over the past 34 years, Mrs. Stancil’s responsibilities have included, the Administrator of an assisted living community, budgeting and training, policy and procedures development and implementation, research, design and development of Nursing Home, Independent, and Assisted Living projects. As President of Senior Living Operations, Cindy works closely with Liberty Living Management Inc., Liberty Healthcare Management, and Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. Cindy served 16 years as a Board Member of the North Carolina Assisted Living Association as former President and Secretary. She has worked in Task Force groups such as The Star Rating program, the MUST pre-screening form, with the Medical Care Commission, Division of Medical Assistance and Division of Health Services Regulation. Mrs. Stancil is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and is a Certified Assisted Living Administrator.

Nicole Cook

Regional Operations Manager

Nicole Cook, RN LNHA, provides operational support to Liberty Senior Living in the role of Regional Operations Manager. Nicole is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, educated in North Carolina and has enjoyed a career in Healthcare for over 25 years. Nicole is an RN and is also licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator. Spending her career in both clinical and operational management, Nicole brings years of patient care and operational leadership to the team. With a passion for customer service and a dedication to quality patient care, she is active in ensuring that our Liberty Senior Living communities provide the best possible experience for those we serve. Nicole resides in Wilmington, NC with her husband and teenage daughter.

Patrick Allen

Patrick Allen

Development Manager

Patrick Allen serves as a Development Manager for Liberty Senior Living. Immediately before joining Liberty, Patrick served as Director of Land Acquisition for the Raleigh, NC Division of Toll Brothers, a Fortune 500 Homebuilder. There he was responsible for sourcing and negotiating homebuilding opportunities as well as managing the entitlement process for those opportunities. He gained additional development and management experience as a member of the teams at Mckim & Creed, Beazer Homes and Landeavor, LLC. Originally from Cary, NC Patrick received a BS in Engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Wake Forest University. Patrick lives in Wilmington with his wife Lauren and son Grady.

Craig Spivey

Project Manager

The construction aspect of Liberty Senior Living is led by Craig Spivey, Project Manager. Craig joined the Liberty team in 2016 bringing an extensive background of construction types and roles. Craig’s construction knowledge is deep rooted beginning as a laborer on a 27 million dollar bridge project and working his way to managing multimillion dollar Construction Manager at Risk projects for NC State Construction as well as private clients. For the last 9 years, Craig has been solely focused on the complete continuum of care within the senior living market. Having direct communication with operations has allowed for an enhanced knowledge of code and building function. Having this knowledge is invaluable when working with the design team through development of the construction documents and all the way through project completion. Originally from North Eastern North Carolina, Craig graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Construction Management. Currently residing in Wilmington, NC with his wife Tammy and two children, he enjoys spending time with family, fishing, and coaching youth sports.

Thad Moore

Development Manager

Thad Moore serves as a Development Manager for Liberty Senior Living. Prior to joining Liberty, Thad served as Vice President of Finance for Preston Development Company in Cary, NC where he managed the finance and development activities of the firm’s master planned communities. Originally from Chapel Hill, NC Thad received a BS from The University of the South in Sewanee, TN and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Wake Forest University. He currently serves on the Residential Neighborhood Development product council for the Urban Land Institute, and has recently served on the Cary Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Taylor Family YMCA Advisory Board and ULI Triangle Advisory Board. Thad lives in Cary with his wife Kara and two sons Thad and Owen.

Christy Chestnut

Christy Chestnut

Active Adult Regional Manager

With over twenty-two years of experience in the multifamily industry, Mrs. Chestnut has established herself as a leader in the industry through a solid track record of success and the positive contributions she has made to peers, team members, managers, and owners alike. Over the course of her first ten years with The Beach Company and Cornerstone, she stabilized four brand new Class A+ communities well ahead of budget. She was quickly promoted to Senior Regional Property Manager in 2010 overseeing assets in the Carolinas and initially specialized in student and military. During her thirteen-year tenure with Greystar, Mrs. Chestnut oversaw a portfolio of many assets located in Charleston, Bluffton, Hilton Head, SC, Augusta, Ga and Wilmington, NC. Prior to joining Liberty Senior Living, as the Regional Director of Active Adult, Mrs. Chestnut worked with the leadership team with Greystar establishing the Overture brand in the Charleston, SC market. In addition to these contributions, Mrs. Chestnut has served on various board positions for local and state apartment associations. Christy’s accomplishments include 2015 Regional Manager of the Year with Greystar and 2016 Regional Manager of the Year Charleston Apartment Association.

Dean Dellaria

Corporate Sales and Marketing Director

Dean Dellaria joined the Liberty Senior Living Team in September 2020 as the Corporate Director of Marketing and Sales. He has spent the majority of his career working in marketing and sales operations, most recently spending over 20 years with Friendship Senior Options an owner / operator of 2 continuing care retirement communities located in the Chicago marketplace. His experience includes marketing and sales of existing communities, campus expansions as well as new community start-up and development. He has presented sales and marketing sessions at both state and national senior living conferences. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Iowa with a minor in Business Administration. He enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and sports. He moved to the Wilmington area with his wife Carol and they look forward to exploring all North Carolina has to offer.
