Will Purvis – President
Will Purvis is President of Liberty Senior Living, a developer and operator of assisted living, independent living, active adult, as well as rental continuing care retirement communities. Since joining Liberty in 2010, the company has grown from two senior living communities to twelve with several more currently under construction. Liberty’s goal is to deliver the best product and operations in the markets served. Liberty has won national awards for continuing care retirement community design as well has fitness and wellness operations. In addition, Mr. Purvis is Chief Development Officer for Liberty Healthcare Management which has a portfolio of thirty skilled nursing facilities and twenty-six homecare and hospice offices. Liberty is a family owned and operated group of companies founded in 1875.
Prior to Liberty, Mr. Purvis worked with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, a subsidiary of BB&T. Mr. Purvis received a B.S. in Business Management from North Carolina State and an MBA from Wake Forest University. Mr. Purvis serves on the Boards of the American Senior Housing Association and New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation. Mr. Purvis serves on the Senior Housing Product Council of Urban Land Institute and the Finance Committee of the Coastal Land Trust. Mr. Purvis lives in Wilmington, North Carolina with his wife Jenny, and three children.
Mathew Bork – Chief Financial Officer
Matt is a Certified Public Accountant leading the financial operations of Liberty Senior Living as the Chief Financial Officer. Matt joined Liberty in 2007 after graduating from UNC-Wilmington with a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Accounting as well as a Masters of Business Administration. He currently serves on the Local Advisory Board for South State Bank, Finance Committee for the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Executive Committee for the American Seniors Housing Association. Matt lives in Wilmington with his wife Katie, five daughters, and two (male) dogs.
Robert Goyette – Chief Operations Officer
Bob Goyette serves as the Chief Operations Officer for Liberty Senior Living. Prior to joining Liberty, Bob served as the Chief Operations Officer for Bridge Senior Living, a vertical of Bridge Investment Group where he oversaw over 30 communities nationwide. Bob has 32+ years’ experience in Senior Living operations with multiple and progressive past positions to include Sales Director, Executive Director, Regional Vice-President, Divisional Vice-President and Chief Operations Officer. He served in the USAF Reserves as both a C-141 Crew Member and a Medical Services Corp Officer at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio. Prior to transferring to the Air Force, Bob served in the Army as both a Behavioral Science Specialist and Practical Nurse where he was awarded the coveted Expert Field Medical Badge. Previous Adjunct Faculty professor experience at Western Kentucky University’s Bachelor’s program in Health Care Administration. Bob also served as a past Board Member of the Ohio, Kentucky and Virginia Assisted Living Associations. Bob received his MBA from Lipscomb University, Nashville, TN with a concentration in Heath Care Administration. He has been involved in opening more than 50 Senior Living communities nationwide. Bob has a passion for leading and developing others to deliver best-in-class services to seniors, and has a history of creating work environments where excellence is recognized, rewarded and celebrated.
Patrick Allen – Development Director
Patrick Allen serves as a Development Director for Liberty Senior Living where he is responsible for sourcing potential opportunities and leading development projects throughout the southeast. Immediately before joining Liberty, Patrick served as Director of Land Acquisition for the Raleigh, NC Division of Toll Brothers, a Fortune 500 Homebuilder. There he was responsible for sourcing and negotiating homebuilding opportunities as well as managing the entitlement process for those opportunities. He gained additional development and management experience as a member of the teams at McKim & Creed, Beazer Homes and Landeavor, LLC. Originally from Cary, NC Patrick received a BS in Engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Wake Forest University. Currently he serves on the local leadership committees for Cape Fear Young Life as well as Downtown Presbyterian Church. Patrick lives in Wilmington with his wife Lauren and children Grady and Mary Scott.
Courtney Baker – Regional Management Coordinator, Active Adult
Courtney Baker is the Regional Management Coordinator, Active Adult for Liberty Senior Living. Courtney started her career with Liberty Senior Living as the Assistant Community Manager of Inspire Coastal Grand, where she began in October 2020. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2015 with a degree in Biological Sciences. After college, Courtney spent two years at the Walt Disney Company as a Guest Relations hostess before moving to the Myrtle Beach area in 2017. She has been actively involved in her community, participating in organizations such as the Grand Strand ChangeMakers with Multiplying Good, Surfside Beach Rotary Club, Junior League of the Grand Strand, and Grand Strand Young Professionals. Courtney was also a part of Leadership Grand Strand Class XL, where she led and contributed to community outreach projects benefiting Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas. Now residing in Mooresville, NC, Courtney continues her commitment to community involvement as a member of Junior League Charlotte. She lives with her husband, Daniel, their golden retriever, Elli, and two cats, Betty and Daisy.
Christy Chestnut – Regional Director of Active Adult
Christy Chestnut brings 27 years of multifamily industry experience and a respected leader known for operational excellence, team development, and strategic performance. For the past five years, she has served as Regional Director of Active Adult at Liberty Senior Living, where she oversees a growing portfolio and plays a key role in shaping the company’s active adult platform. Before joining Liberty, Christy spent 13 years with Greystar, where she helped establish the Overture brand in the Charleston, SC market and managed a diverse portfolio across South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. Her earlier tenure with Easlan Management, Cornerstone and The Beach company. Included the successful stabilization of many class A+ lease-ups, leading to her promotion to Senior Regional Property Manager overseeing diverse portfolios. Christy is well known and highly regarded in the multifamily industry for her leadership, mentorship, and ability to drive results. She has received multiple awards for excellence, including Greystar’s Regional Manager of the Year (2015) and the Charleston Apartment Association’s Regional Manager of the Year (2016). She has also served in various leadership roles on local and state apartment association boards.
Nicole Cook – Vice President of Operations
Nicole Cook serves as the Vice President of Operations for Liberty Senior Living. Nicole is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, educated in North Carolina and has enjoyed a career in Healthcare for over 30 years. Nicole is licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nursing Home Administrator in multiple states. Spending her career in both clinical and operational management, Nicole brings years of operational leadership and resident service excellence to the team. With a passion for customer service and a dedication to quality care, she is active in ensuring that our Liberty Senior Living communities provide the best possible experience for those we serve. Nicole resides in Wilmington, NC with her husband Sean.
Dean Dellaria – Corporate Director of Marketing and Sales
Dean Dellaria joined Liberty Senior Living in 2020 as the Corporate Director of Marketing and Sales. In this role, he leads the development and execution of marketing and sales strategies across the organization, bringing more than 30 years of industry experience to the position. Throughout his career in senior living, Dean has held a variety of leadership roles, including Sales Advisor, Director of Sales, and Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing. His expertise spans existing community operations, new community startups and development, campus expansions, and rebranding initiatives. Dean is a recognized speaker, having presented at both state and national senior living conferences. He also serves on the Advisory Board for SMASH (Senior Care Marketing and Sales Summit), where he contributes to thought leadership in the field. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Iowa. Outside of work, Dean enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and following sports. He lives in the Wilmington area with his wife, Carol.
Thad Moore – Development Director
Thad Moore serves as a Development Director for Liberty Senior Living. Part of his recent responsibilities include managing the complete development process of Liberty’s newest life plan community, Hayes Barton Place in Raleigh, NC. Prior to joining Liberty, Thad was Vice President of Finance for Preston Development Company in Cary, NC where he managed the finance and development activities of the firm’s master planned communities. Originally from Chapel Hill, NC Thad received a BS from The University of the South in Sewanee, TN and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Wake Forest University. He currently serves as a board member of the SouthPark (Charlotte) Community Partners and is a member of the Residential Neighborhood Development product council for the Urban Land Institute. Thad lives in Cary with his wife Kara and two sons Thad and Owen.
Jay Oglesby – Development Director
Jay joined Liberty five years ago, but initially worked closely with company’s senior leadership team 10 years ago through financing several of the company’s luxury CCRC projects as a Principal of Wells Fargo Bank’s Seniors Housing Finance team. Immediately prior to joining Liberty, Jay was Lifestyle Division President with Capstone Communities and codeveloped the first Active Adult community in which Liberty Invested – Inspire Royal Park in Matthews, NC. Jay received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Literature and Journalism from the University of Mississippi, and earned Master of Business Administration and Master of International Management post-graduate degrees at Thunderbird School of Global Management. Jay and his wife, Jackie, live in Wilmington and have two adult children.
Craig Spivey – Director of Construction
Craig Spivey serves as Director of Construction for Liberty Senior Living, bringing over a decade of experience with the organization and a deep focus on projects across the full continuum of senior care. His work is rooted in a strong connection to operational teams, ensuring that every construction project reflects current building functionality needs, applicable codes, and the latest trends in senior living. Craig’s close collaboration with operations and design teams allows him to guide projects from the development of construction documents through to final completion, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and quality throughout the process. His hands-on knowledge of the senior living sector is a key asset in shaping environments that support residents and staff alike. Originally from Northeastern North Carolina, Craig is a graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Construction Management. He currently resides in Wilmington, NC with his wife, Tammy. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
Cindy Stancil – Vice President of Operations Support
Cindy Stancil is the VP of Operations Support. She joined the company in 1989. Cindy Stancil started her career as the Administrator of an Assisted Living in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1985. Over the past 40 years, Mrs. Stancil’s has served in various capacities; i.e., Administrator, Executive Director, budgeting and training, policy and procedures development and implementation, research, design and development of, CCRC, Independent, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled projects. During these years she served as President and Vice President of Liberty Senior Living. Cindy works closely with Liberty Living Management Inc., Liberty Healthcare Management, and Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. Cindy served 16 years as a Board Member of the North Carolina Assisted Living Association as former President and Secretary. She has worked in Task Force groups such as The Star Rating program, the MUST pre-screening form, with the Medical Care Commission, Division of Medical Assistance and Division of Health Services Regulation. Mrs. Stancil is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and is a Certified Assisted Living Administrator. She now serves Liberty Senior Living through projects and support.
Jay Vaughn – Construction Project Manager
Jay Vaughn joined the Liberty Senior Living team in 2018 and specializes in Construction Management. Jay’s project management background stems from his years with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company and Sanford Contractors dating back to 2011. Since joining the Liberty Development team, he has been an integral part of delivering over 4MM square feet of Liberty Senior Living communities. Jay received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina. He resides in Wilmington, NC with his wife, Susan, and daughters Scarlett and Lane.
Timothy J. Walsh – Director of Business Development
Timothy J. Walsh is the Director of Business Development at Liberty Senior Living. In this role, Tim supports growth and strategy efforts across Liberty’s full continuum of care, including Liberty Senior Living, Liberty Health & Rehab, and Liberty Home Care & Hospice. He works alongside teams in development, operations, and finance to help improve performance, guide new initiatives, and support the expansion of healthcare services. Tim leads efforts on ownership and operational transitions, as well as the development and response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). He is also involved in Certificate of Need (CON) preparation and analysis, health service regulations, and regulatory matters related to Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs). He joined Liberty in 2015 after graduating from UNC-Wilmington with a degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance. Tim lives in Leland, NC with his wife, Kelsey, and their two sons, Liam and Lincoln.
